Producer | Director | 1st AD

Peter Etherington

English born Peter Etherington fled a tea-obsessed culture and moved to the US in search of coffee and film, where he has been working in entertainment for the past seven years. His goal is to tell stories that don't just entertain, but have a deeper political and social meaning as well.

Peter studied at USC's School of Cinematic Arts, where he was selected to lead multiple senior thesis projects as director and producer, before graduating magna cum laude. He then went straight onto one of the largest action films of the year, joining Mission Impossible 6 as the Director's Personal Assistant. Filming all over the world, he got to learn up close from leading industry figures.

Since returning to LA, he has been working freelance as a 1st Assistant Director, scheduling and running shoots for a variety of different platforms and budget scales. The shoots are typically focused on digital audiences with budgets of up to $1 Million, some achieving 100 million+ views.

Working in film has taught him to flourish in a high-stress environment. His role is to schedule and run the day to day filming; managing the set, keeping the crew organized & on track and bringing people together to find creative solutions as quickly as possible when problems arise.

On the side, he's been pursuing his own work with several projects in post-production and many more in development.
